About this opportunity:

On the Scottish Widows Platform, we have around 90 Discretionary Fund Managers (DFMs), with model portfolios containing over £4bn Assets Under Management. These relationships need to be well run to ensure service levels meet expectations and needs, to ensure that they are able to continue using our platform.

You'll be part of a dynamic team who support the growth of both our DFM and Fund Manager Relationships for the Platform. We're responsible for the Investment Proposition and its governance to ensure we offer a compelling and appropriate range of mutual funds and exchange traded assets for our advisers, DFMs, customers and white label partners.

You'll be working collaboratively and proactively with numerous internal partners, including Legal, Distribution, Investment Services, Issue Management and other teams across Scottish Widows to ensure that all aspects of DFM activity are delivered.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You'll focus on actively supporting tactical and strategic opportunities to expand and improve the DFM proposition, supporting the sales effort and growth of Assets Under Management on the platform
  • You'll own the fund requests from your panel of DFMs for onboarding of new funds. This will involve working on case prioritisation and liaison with the Fund On-boarding Team.
  • You'll learn how to use the X-Hub system which is where DFMs transact their model portfolios on the Scottish Widows Platform. Full training will be provided. Responsible for timely communication of platform upgrades, planned outages and any relevant business information to your panel of DFMs.
  • Be the point of contact and partner concern for any queries and requests DFMs may have and any issues the DFM encounters. Consumer Duty has introduced the requirement to review the assessment of value of all DFM Model Portfolios on the SW Platform.
  • Hold relationship meetings with DFMs on your panel, as required. Some DFMs require attendance at regular due diligence meetings and completion of due diligence questionnaires.
  • Maintain an up-to-date list of DFMs on the Scottish Widows Platform website. Working with Marketing to ensure data is updated at least quarterly.
  • You'll have the opportunity get involved in other project work related to our investment proposition, for example as new Regulation is brought in or new business opportunities are presented.
