Lloyds Banking Group is the largest provider of mortgages in the UK, with over 2 million active mortgages. We have placed mortgages at the heart of our strategy to become the best bank for customers.

Our team in the Homes Platform is passionate about creating new services for our customers that transform the customer and colleague experience. Our culture brings together smart, hardworking people from diverse backgrounds who enjoy a collaborative and innovative environment that supports flexible and agile working.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate, inspiring, and customer-obsessed. The Product Owner is the “value maximiser” within the Lab, ensuring that the team is always focused on the priorities that will deliver the best outcomes for our customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a robust and curious team to deliver products and services that transform the end-to-end customer journey.

  • Actively promote new ways of working, transformation methodology, and maintain an inclusive culture.

  • Ensure value is realised for agreed objectives and key results, aligning short- and long-term business goals with our strategic agenda.

  • Be accountable and responsible for the long-term vision and strategy for the products, business outcomes, and journeys.

  • Inspire others with this strategy, figuring out what customers need through user research, feedback, data analysis, and competitive analysis.

  • Balance investment priorities across feature creation, legal or regulatory commitments, and technical improvements to enhance performance and resilience.

Experience Required:

  • Experience in working in an Agile delivery environment at scale.

  • Experience in delivering technology change across software and infrastructure.

  • Ability to work with technical and cross-functional teams to create a service at scale.

  • Adept at immersing into a Product Business Area, including external market trends, to bring industry-leading insight to the organisation.

  • Strong business and commercial acumen with a drive to deliver better, faster, and cheaper.

  • Strong influencer able to achieve alignment up, down, and across the organisation.

Skills We’re Looking For:

  • Inspiring, strategic problem solver with a passion for creating outstanding customer experiences.

  • Customer and data-driven, ensuring solutions address customer needs and drive value.

  • Intellectually curious, seeking to innovate and learning quickly from failures.

  • Influences without authority, trusting and empowering teams using coaching techniques to provide constructive challenge.

  • Strong influencer, able to successfully manage key partners, prioritise, and justify the right set of business problems.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
