JOB TITLE:  Technology Resilience Enterprise Architect

SALARY: £90,944 - £106,400

LOCATION: Manchester, Edinburgh, Leeds or Halifax

HOURS:  Full-Time

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in Manchester, Edinburgh, Leeds or Halifax office site

As a Technology Resilience Enterprise Architect, you'll join an expert team who have been empowered to explore the art of the possible. Working within Technology Resilience & Risk Architecture, as part of our Chief Technology Office, you'll…

  • Develop and embed comprehensive proactive resilience and recovery response capabilities. With focus across the spectrum of technology resilience, including preventative software level resilience, automated failover & rapid service rebuild including restoration of data from backups.
  • Build compelling architecture strategies with comprehensive inputs from Business, Engineering, Operations, Industry and Vendors. Pro-actively guiding the Group.
  • Identify, evaluate & recommend emerging technologies across industry that could enhance our enterprise resilience, influencing the direction of our investment portfolios.
  • Build positive relationships with engineering teams to support the design and delivery of capability.
  • Guide senior business collaborators on the significance of resilience, while highlighting various levels of risk.
  • Assist in the establishment of required operating models to achieve resilience outcomes, including how we prove levels of resilience across critical services.

What you’ll need

If you have a strong resilience architecture background, we want to hear from you.

  • Proficiency in modern Cloud based architectures, and achieving resilience through composable architecture techniques such as microservices, API’s, Event Streams and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience of modern AI-Ops and observability capabilities.
  • Knowledge of traditional datacentre hosted architectures, including complex enterprise infrastructure such as storage, backup and middleware technologies.
  • Expertise in disaster recovery strategies including their assurance.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies and how they could be maximised for resilience
  • Knowledge of enterprise service management and operational tooling / methodologies i.e SRE.
  • Proven experience engaging across organisations at a senior level.

And any experience of these would be really useful

  • Technical experience within financial services organisations.
  • Good understanding of Operational Resilience and Critical Third-Party regulation.
  • Experience in data management, specifically ensuring data integrity and availability.
