JOB TITLE: Middle Office Assistant Manager - FTC

LOCATION(S): Bristol, Edinburgh or Leeds

SALARY: £51,777 - £57,530

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in one of the above offices
 

About this opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen at Assistant Manager level to join the Investment Accounting & Operations team within Insurance Pensions & Investment Finance in a Fixed Term Contract. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in a variety of investment management activities, ensuring the smooth operation and oversight of our investment funds and platforms.
 

Day to day you’ll be;

  • Coordinating daily cash, custody, derivative, collateral management activities, maintaining investment funds and platforms, including support for asset transitions
  • Handling and reporting on invested asset data, reconciliations, and controls
  • Performing oversight of external providers for investment management and fund administration activities.
  • Producing investment results for Group, statutory, and regulatory accounting and reporting activities, including for ACDs and OEICs
  • Supporting strategic change initiatives as an enabling partner representing investment accountancy and operations, including climate data.
  • Performing several tasks related to fund static data and ensuring accuracy of data between platforms and our TPAs.
  • Engage with our internal and external partners to ensure accurate controls are applied to transaction processing.

What you’ll need

  • Experience within Investments with background in investment operational activity or within a treasury function with a strong written and verbal skills, capable of engaging with a diverse range of partners.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, interpreting data from various sources and assessing business impacts
  • A comprehensive understanding of risk, control, and compliance, ensuring a robust control environment with the ability to identify shortcomings and successfully conduct improvements to existing business practices.
