WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, in the office.

Join our dynamic Corporate Sector Coverage (CSC) team at Lloyds Banking Group, where we manage relationships with high-profile corporate clients across the UK, North America and Europe. Our Consumer (Retail, Consumer Goods, Food and Drink) team is at the forefront of financing and supporting some of the largest global corporates including Agricultural Traders and Food & Drink manufacturers with instantly recognisable household brands. We’re passionate about enabling our clients to grow and we provide support across the end to end supply chain through a comprehensive range of trade & working capital, balance sheet, hedging, cash management solutions and much more.

We're currently recruiting for an excellent opportunity for an Associate to join our Consumer team. You’ll work on a diverse portfolio of Investment Grade and Leveraged Finance transactions, gaining unique depth and breadth of experience. We’re aiming to double our business by 2030, and we’re looking for we’re looking for a highly energetic, motivated and organised individual with a strong appetite to learn new skills and develop deep sector and product knowledge. You'll provide the best in class service to clients and develop meaningful client relationships, supporting the wider team on exciting notable transactions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the team in delivering relationship management and origination across the client base, including pitching for business and developing prospect leads.
  • Develop a deep understanding of trends and activities within specific sub-segments of Food and Drink and engage with clients on sector themes.
  • Identify opportunities to generate further income, recommending and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Drive client dialogue on behalf of the group, ensuring enquiries and issues are satisfactorily resolved.
  • Coordinate with relevant parties to assist with deal execution and prepare proposals in partnership with Credit Risk colleagues to seek approval for global credit exposure.
  • Prepare responses to invitations to tender for new and existing business, collaborating with other specialist providers to enhance overall business returns.

What You’ll Need:

  • Curious and driven approach to work with a desire to learn and challenge.
  • Experience managing client relationships in a corporate environment, with evidence of delivering exceptional client service.
  • Cross proposition product knowledge and transactional awareness.
  • Strong analytical skills with understanding of corporate financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of adapting to changes in policies, systems, processes and working practices to achieve operational improvement.
