My real passion throughout university was about sustainability and energy efficiency.
So, when the opportunity came to join Lloyds, I was really fascinated by the complexity of this data and the scale. So, so many offices and branches and data centres including thousands of colleagues to engage with.
Our team looks after the environmental impact across our operations and that may be carbon emissions, energy reduction, water usage, the waste that we produce across all of our buildings.
I think that when I joined Lloyds, we were just starting to develop our net zero carbon operation target. And since then, we've launched six targets related to our own operations.
The sustainability report, for me, is the one place where all these impacts come together. They give you a bit of a sense of, really how big the effort is to move towards a sustainable future.
I want to look back in 10 years’ time and see the impact that I've had from an environmental perspective, being bigger and bigger and bigger.
From a Lloyds Banking Group perspective, I really love the association with an organisation that makes sustainability really, really important.
I feel like I'm part of something bigger that is actually moving towards the right direction.
