JOB TITLE: Business Development Director, Asset Finance
HOURS: Full time
LOCATION: London, Birmingham, Bristol, Reading, or Southampton.
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

About this opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Asset Finance team as a Business Development Director. This is a new business development role for an expert dealmaker who can develop lead and drive business performance to successfully contend in the Asset Finance market.

Our team plays a key part of the cashflow solution for many trading businesses and is a growth product both within LBG and the UK generally, making this an exciting and important area to develop a career within the Group!

What you'll be doing:

  • Establishing and leading new relationships for the Asset Finance business.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including the planning and execution of contact strategies enabling you to win new to bank clients.
  • Understanding client strategies to provide the best possible solutions to support in a highly competitive marketplace.
  • Making first contact with new clients, utilising the Lloyds brand, to arrange meetings, explaining the value Lloyds can bring to clients.
  • Work with the client and existing relationship teams to agree credit lines with the new clients
  • Provide full and comprehensive handover to your relationship colleagues remaining available for ongoing support if required.

What we need from you?

  • Validated experience in business development working with mid or large sized corporate clients.
  • Proven ability to establish and nurture strong client relationships with senior executives, supported by a vast network within the asset finance community.
  • Established success in originating and growing new business within a financial institution.
  • A proficiency in the credit and underwriting process and a fluency in all manner of financial documents- able to analyse, draw insights and make financial services recommendations.
