JOB TITLE: Product Controller

LOCATION(S): Edinburgh

SALARY: £42,120 - £46,800

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in our Edinburgh office

We have an opportunity for an experienced Finance professional to join us in our transformation journey.

This role sits within the Product Control Trading Book team, within Commercial Banking Finance, an agile and encouraging team with a desire to foster all of its colleagues development goals, via learning opportunities, knowledge sharing and cross training!
 

Day to day you’ll be;

  • Involved in the preparation of daily P&L production, reconciliations, signoffs, issue resolution.
  • Supporting the month end close processes associated with accurately reporting and independently validating the bank’s balance sheet in a timely manner through the posting of journals and preparation of reconciliations.
  • Preparing analysis and in-depth commentary on P&L and balance sheet movements.
  • Supporting a robust control framework for all processes within remit.
  • Undertaking ad hoc work and investigation arising from partner requests.
  • Supporting the delivery of efficiencies and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Establishing and building relationships with partners.

What you’ll need

  • Qualified or part qualified accountant
  • Knowledge of Financial Instruments.
  • Relationship building and Stakeholder management
  • Numerate and competent with MS Office applications especially Excel.
     

And any experience of these would be really useful

  • Experience of working in Financial/Product Control or Audit
  • Experience of SQL and Macros
