JOB TITLE: Associate Director – Transaction Banking Solutions, Risk Distribution
LOCATION(S): London
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending two days per week, or 40% of your time, in the office.

About this opportunity

Join our Transaction Banking Solution team sales team as an Associate Director and be a part of our exciting growth. Our team is a cross-sector product team providing our CIB clients with solutions across the spectrum of payments and working capital products including core trade, open account, structured trade, ECA and asset finance.

This role sits within the Trade Distribution team, which is a specialist distribution team conducting asset distribution, asset acquisition and managing credit risk insurance across all trade and working capital products. The team works alongside our Corporate and Institutional Transaction Banking sales teams who provide our clients with solutions across all payments and working capital products.

Your accountabilities will include:

  • Work to deliver the risk participation and distribution strategy in accordance with team and department business plan
  • Take personal responsibility to deliver transactions in support of customer objectives, leading deals from origination through to structuring, approval and delivery
  • Help deliver and build the team strategy by building internal support from organisational partners including sales, coverage, risk, product, compliance, legal and all other functions
  • Support sales team heads to deliver their clients’ objectives, efficiently managing the sale of assets for risk distribution, looking across all Trade and wider TB products
  • Maintain, develop and build client relationships with banks, non-banks, insurers, brokers, fintech companies and others as required;  develop and build a pipeline of transaction flow, working with distribution partners, establishing a predictable pipeline for Lloyds Bank
  • Help develop the risk distribution product in support of new transaction structures, managing the interaction required with product partners & other stakeholders to develop stable and effective new business lines
  • Meet group risk and profitability requirements to deliver targeted growth in the TWC business, in accordance with team and department income and asset levels
  • Prepare and submit product papers, lead deal screening and credit meetings for trade in conjunction with coverage & others, aligned with transactional needs and engaged with colleagues in Product, Delivery, Lending Execution and Risk as appropriate
  • Timely management of sales data, MIS, transaction execution information and related business metrics using bank tools and other data sources

What we need from you?

  • Technical understanding of Trade and Working Capital products
  • Experience at managing, originating and providing solutions to Large Corporate clients (defined as >£500m annual turnover)
  • Experience in risk distribution would be ideal
  • Shown success in Trade Sales and Business Development
