JOB TITLE:  Senior Software Engineer (AEM)

SALARY: £78,849 - £87,610

LOCATION: London

HOURS:  Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in the London office.

Personalised Experiences and Communications (PEC) is a business platform that sits within Consumer Relationships and plays a critical role in supporting the achievement of the Group strategic view by working closely & collaboratively across the Platform leadership team to grow by protecting and deepening customer relationships. PEC enables & delivers personalised customer communications & experiences across all channels, media and business areas supporting the Customer Relationship Growth strategy to deepen relationships with our customers across both the retail & commercial bank. This includes the data, analytics, and technology to unlock the value of differentiating our branded channel experiences, proposition, price and communication; as well as paper-free sustainable ambitions.

This exciting opportunity is within the Personalised Experiences and Communications (PEC) platform for a Senior Software Engineer. As the Senior Software Engineer you'll lead, direct and shape approaches to solving technical challenges and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

You will work in a highly collaborative way to drive efforts to create, build, support and improve our software working closely with the product and engineering teams with lots of exciting new challenges. You'll also be a core contributor to ensure good quality and engineering practices are followed in accordance with engineering transformation strategy.

Key Capabilities Include:

  • Build efficient and reusable content management systems and abstractions
  • Find and address performance issues plus Root Cause Analysis
  • Identify general improvements and implement standard methodologies as part of build activities.
  • Collaborate with the product/design team to iterate the design function and implement the products
  • Collaborate with Engineers to build features and experiments

What you’ll need

  • Experience with creating and maintaining workflows in AEM
  • Professional experience working in AEM version 6.5 and AEM as a Cloud Service.
  • Broad understanding across Adobe Experience Cloud (Assets, Sites, Target, Analytics)
  • Experience and understanding of Digital Asset Management (DAM)
  • Exposure to git & GitHub, Jenkins, strong DevOps capabilities, Cloud
  • Experience of Adobe Cloud Manager and Adobe Admin Console
  • Able to work with Servlets, OSGI services, Product Customisations, Dispatcher configurations and Schedulers.
  • Exposure with modern JavaScript libraries/tooling, such as Reactjs, Redux, Webpack
  • Experience in development using various Web technologies (e.g. like JS, AJAX, CSS, HTML5, React)
  • Experience on Front-End test automation

And any experience of these would be really useful:

  • Server-side REST APIs and JSON
  • AEM as a Cloud Service experience
  • Experience in Servlet and JSP/HTL development, Touch UI
  • Experience with MAVEN, Apache Sling and Apache Felix
  • Able to create a custom OSGI configuration and JCR queries
  • Understanding of AEM users/user groups and permissions
  • Exposure to Adobe Workfront and Fusion.
  • AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) developer certification
