JOB TITLE:                             Trade Distribution Product Director

LOCATION:                           London

HOURS:                                   Full time

WORKING PATTERN:    Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this opportunity

The Trade and Working Capital team provides commercial banking solutions to businesses of all sizes, in the UK and internationally, including trade, invoice finance and asset finance solutions. These solutions are grounded in an in-depth understanding of clients, a passion for enabling businesses to efficiently handle their liquidity, complete payments, mitigate their risks, fund trade flows and support growth.

Within this role, you’ll be part of Trade & Working Capital business, with the objective to define and drive the execution of Trade finance distribution strategy. You’ll be responsible for building the optimal distribution process, managing risk, and introducing innovative structures for distribution.

We’re looking for a team leader with a deep understanding of the Trade finance business and prior experience in deal structuring and execution with a focus on distribution.

You’ll work with a high energy team of product specialists, as well as key partners in other areas of the bank, to unlock growth whilst championing an environment of diversity and customer centric innovation, promoting new ways of working to deliver our broader purpose – Helping Britain Prosper.

Role accountabilities include:

  • Develops and executes the distribution strategy to support business growth
  • Works closely with the deal team to ensure the distribution aspect is accurately represented
  • Responsible for the enhancement of the end-to-end distribution process, improving operational efficiencies and reducing operational risk
  • Responsible for the introduction and implementation of new distribution structures, supporting RWA targets for the business
  • Works closely with a range of internal stakeholders such as legal, compliance and risk to ensure transactions are executed in alignment with the bank policies and regulatory requirements
  • Plays a support role to all other product owners to ensure distribution artefacts are correctly captured throughout the product governance process
  • Works closely with the Transformation team to ensure timely delivery of platform and process related change
  • Responsible for providing accurate and timely reporting of distribution portfolio metrics to the senior leadership team in the business

What you’ll need

  • Deep understanding of the Trade finance product sets, including distribution structures and processes
  • In-depth knowledge on working capital solutions, Liquidity management and RWA optimisation.
  • Prior experience in deal structuring and execution from a distribution perspective
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional team management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
