JOB TITLE: Senior Finance Manager Divisional & External Reporting
LOCATION(S): Leeds, Bristol, Cardiff or London
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site
 

About this Opportunity

The key responsibilities of the role are to deliver a high-quality full P&L and Balance Sheet Executive Reporting suite for the Retail Divisional Finance Director as well as a highly accurate and thorough External Reporting output. This role reports to the Head of Divisional Finance and External Reporting and is responsible for a small team of Finance Managers.

Day to day you will:

  • Lead, develop and champion your team to deliver a high-performance mentality and encourage them to embrace stretching development objectives

  • Support your team in providing insightful, high quality Executive Reporting, through advanced storytelling capability and ensuring accuracy and completeness

  • Take responsibility for leading the regular monthly and quarterly reporting processes, bringing together numerous teams and stakeholders to provide insight on financial and commercial performance

  • Oversee the Retail Valuation in Resolution process and associated reporting

  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders external to the team to ensure alignment in narrative across all areas


What you’ll need:

  • Curiosity and drive to think differently and bring new insights, challenge the way we currently do things and look for ways we can improve them

  • Ability to take ownership and work collaboratively

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to make the complex simple

  • Strong analytical and interpretative skills including good judgement

  • Proactive development mentality: ‘develop ourselves to deliver better’ 


And any experience of these would be really useful:

  • Ideally you will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)

  • Stakeholder management - capability to build and maintain strong working relationships internally across the Retail Bank, Retail and Group Finance and other key partners

  • Able to deliver at pace, accurately, collaboratively, and with an appreciation of wider factors
